Just wondering if anyone has experienced any problems when placing an EZ Pass Toll transponder within the blue tinted area at the very top of the windshield? I don't think it will interfere, but didn't want to find out the hard way. Thanks!

For our local version we're told not to put it there. I ended up putting mine under the sensor pod in the middle that the mirror mounts to. Ours have gotten pretty slim though, the older larger ones I wouldn't have put there.

I put mine just under the tint in pretty much the area pictured. In my last car I ignored the instruction and mounted it higher up, and there were times i failed to register when passing tolls sensors (but it did work most of the time)…so I decided to go a bit lower this time.

Virginia resident. Had mine in that location in a holder- little black rubberish housing with suction cups, and a 70% windshield tint, no issues.

I keep my ezpass on the dash, but I will probably put it where youre thinking. We've put them in those areas in the past and had no problems with it reading.

Great photo of the Alabama Hills with the snowy Sierra backdrop!

That was Volcanic Tablelands, a bit further north, but still the Sierras! It also happened to be the first good photo of my windshield that I could find!

We are specifically instructed not to place it there. I put mine below that area and to the right of the mirror. It is completely out of line of sight of the driver.

I have mine on the passenger side up against the rearview mirror trim and also up into the shaded part of the windshield.
AND, I spray paint the transponder matte black and use black velcro. It's so much nicer than the white transponder.

I used horizontal EZ PASS transponder mounted with two top screws on the license plate on my 4Runner. Waiting for the new tags for my LC and will mount them the same way.
