Recently got our 2025 premium package LC. I downloaded the Toyota app and created an account and scanned the vin so the car is hooked to my account. My wife also drives the LC so I had her download the Toyota app also. My first question is does she use my login as well on her phone or does she create her own account? Currently the app keeps asking her to add a vehicle. Can we both add the same vin to both of our separate accounts?
Second issue we have is we each paired our phones to the system. One would think if I get in to drive by myself that the car would detect my phone and switch to my profile. This doesn’t seem to work. If I look at the setup it shows my wife’s profile as active. I can click on my profile and have to enter the pin to change it to my profile. Is this really how this works? This is not convenient at all. I just assume I don’t know how to make it work properly. I have a bunch of questions but I will work through them a few at a time.

You can set a "primary" device in the vehicle settings. The vehicle will always default to that phone first as long as that device has wifi/bluetooth active. If that phone is not present, it will go for the second device you have added. My Sequoia settings were backwards with mine as the primary after we initially set it up. I had to delete my device from the infotainment, add hers as the primary device, and then add mine and assign it as the secondary.

IRT the accounts, you both set one up. If it is your primary, set the vehicle up under your account and then select "Add driver" and enter her email and info. It will send her a link to accept the vehicle in her app. Full functionality for both of us on both vehicles after she added me on the Sequoia and I added her on my LC. We tried sharing a profile on just the Sequoia, but we found that we could kick one another off when simultaneously using the app, even if one of us just had the vehicle on the dashboard and not manipulating anything. When she tries to start my car or lock my doors, it is a little delayed now that she was added, and I am delayed manipulating hers. But we don't kick eachother off.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I was excited to see the information on adding a driver however I can’t seem to locate where to do this in the app. I think I have opened every setting area in the app and didn’t see anything. I used the FAQ search and it basically says the same thing just add a driver but didn’t say how. If you can shed any additional info about this I would appreciate it.

I don't have my cell in front of me so I can't navigate it right now to see exactly where it is. I think it is under the vehicle dashboard though. You can do it on a laptop or PC as well. Just make sure they already have an account created before sharing the vehicle, it makes it much easier.

If you hit the plus sign on the top left of the dashboard you can choose to "edit" vehicle(s). From here you can assign a nickname, add a driver or remove the vehicle (see image w/ green arrow below)

Thanks, I used my iPad and browser instead of the app on my phone and found it using the tips from DubDub. I am closer than before but when I hit add driver the screen goes to a grayscale and sits there. I will try it on my pc tomorrow.
