hello, I am having hard time deciding the location of my ARB dual compressor..

I prefer the trunk area near the battery but there does not seem a space to hide it in there

the next location is near the spare tire but there I am concerned about dirt and water/ any thoughts ?

engine area seems a good spot but I dont like it to be near the computers due to heating and missing up with that area

any other ideas for a good location ?

can someone show me install video near the spare tire or some photos

Welcome to the asylum.

I’m sure that some of the inmates will chyme in shortly.

The new brushless version almost has to be mounted on the exterior due to the additional heat it produces. It’s common to mount them near the spare on trucks with something like the dirt church industries mounting kits. You may want to take a peek at those for some ideas, although they don’t offer a mounting kit for the LC.

I have my Air compressor mounted under the hood without any ill effects.

which brand your compressor and do u have an install video? did you move or touch the computers to make it fit?

I've got the CA Tuned kit which rotates the ECU to a horizontal/flat orientation and then mounts the compressor underneath it. Although your concern with heat up there is valid, there is no way shape or form that your compressor is going to be running for so long and so hot, that it creates more heat than the engine. Imagine that these vehicles are sold in the Middle East, Nevada, etc., there's not a chance that the compressor would generate more heat than engine and the heat from the sun. Under the hood is just fine, suitable, and why pretty much all aftermarket companies that sell these kits place it under the hood. I apologize if I'm coming across brash, but I think you might being trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist....

Which Viair compressor did you install? Have you used it to air up your tires at some point? Any thoughts on how much you like this particular Viair?
I purchased:

I started using ViAir products many years ago and haven't had a single problem with any of them I owned over the years. The early models were slow and very loud the newest model I own is moderately fast and much quieter.

If it broke, I'd by the same or newer model.

CAtuned Off-Road
does not sell the Land Cruiser ARB Twin Air Compressor mount separately, according to their product details, any alternative mount that fits in the engine area.. I already have the compressor

I believe Slee does for that same location.

Where do you live? Middle East or USA? If you live in Middle East then I'd recommend Razed (Rear Quarter Compressor Bracket – Landcruiser 250 Prado / Lexus GX550) it place the compressor inside the cabin and they also sell a swhich/couple kit that fit in the Jack mount compartment so you get a stealthy look, but if you live in USA either Slee or SDHQ, while i'm not a fan of mounting compressors inside engine bay, the SDHQ place under the car near the spare tire and they also sell remote air filter relocation kit along with coupler mounting kit next to tow electrical socket, so i prefer SDHQ.

i love in israel but i have the Canadian land cruiser premium edition basically the petrol hybrid engine.. I want the air compressor
on the back either in the trunk hidden (if possible but its looking difficult with the battery in the back??) or on a shelf somehow out of the way close to window or if i cannot find any solution in the trunk area then near and above the spare tire if there is an easy access to the wires to get to the battery.. if anybody have an install video for a shelf style mounting points or near or above the spare tires please share

There might be room to mount an air compressor in the cargo area. Just forward of the 12v battery, behind the trim panel, there is a fair amount of space. An output hose/coupler could be mounted off the "jack" cradle.

You could also add one of the interior molle panels for the back left window and mount it to that, if you don’t mind it being visible.

thanks, do you know of anybody sell a bracket for that area ? any install video showing the finished installation.. curious to know of the passenger side area is empty and can be used also? or its full of other things ?

I don't know of any bracket. The pass side is filled with Air conditioning components, there is a tiny bit of room but not much.

There is a fair amount of room behind the Jack cradle, I have my WeBoost cell phone amp bolted to that. Depending on how thick the compressor is you might be able to bolt it to the jack cradle.

Go with SDHQ compressor mount, i think you'll like it.

this ARB dual is a take off project from my ex Jeep Rubicon, I used it once or twice in my garage to inflate my tesla tires.. after careful reading and looking for all options available I decided to go a different root and to build a box with the compressor and keep it out in my garage and take it only when I know I need to air down or up off-roading.. there is no point buying expensive mount location and missing up with my jeep battery and electricity for my use cases and its best to keep weight down anyway.. thanks for the help and for all the options provided

I believe Slee does for that same location.

Since you have the CAtuned kit, would you happen to have any opinions on the Slee setup vs CAtuned? Trying to decide between the two.
