I took a short trip to Marble Falls on Saturday. 1431 was closed because a bridge was destroyed by the flooding. Traffic was directed to an alternate route. During the drive i saw massive damage at every river crossing. Volunteer groups are still working hard to clear debris. God bless all those affected and the heroes giving their blood and sweat to help.
I stopped by Shaffer bend park where my son and I camped a few months ago to see the water level. I was shocked how high it was. See pictures for comparison.
