2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Base
Hello! I finally decided to join the forum after lurking in the shadows for almost a year after buying my LC. I picked up my 2024 base with premium package last July after giving up on the original plan of trying to find a GX Overtrail. In the end I think that was for the best given the GX's even longer wait-list at the time and how expensive the GX ended up being with all the options/accessories added to every arrival. Plus rear seat ceiling vents!

But anyways, due to life changes it made sense to get rid of my 2020 Supra for something a little more practical. I've always liked the idea of a 4Runner but was drawn to the more subdued styling of the LC. No regrets so far.

I haven't done many mods and don't have any big plans at the moment. I swapped out the roof rails and crossbars for a Sherpa Atlas roof rack, added a 200w solar panel to the roof (no real reason other than the panel I had happened to fit perfectly but I still haven't figured out a clean way to wire it into the cabin), added a CATuned shelf in the back to hold towels for the dog and the baby's diaper bag, and replaced the horns with the Toyota premium version for a little less meep meep. I plan to swap out the current 20" stock wheels with a set of the 18" Tacoma trd wheels once I run through the Dunlops it came with.

I've been sticking mainly to the grocery store parking lots this first year. But there must be something about getting older and the call of the wild. Definitely looking forward to getting out more so if anyone has recommendations on beginner outings in the PNW for someone that's been afraid of straying too far from the I-5 corridor for most of his adult life, I'd be happy to hear them!

Welcome to the asylum Activate_Mode.

I am sure that you will find lots to do out in the PNW. I think onX Offroad map app in the Apple App Store may come in handy for you if you want to explore off road areas. There are lots of similar apps as well.
