All, I jumped the gun on a Black Friday deal back in the fall for a Badlands Winch. Now, I'm finally trying to find the right bumper to install it on. I know the Rago works due to @JordanJ's build thread. I'm not necessarily opposed to the Rago but wasn't sure if anyone else has installed the DV8, C4, etc. and put a Badlands 12K winch on it. I'd like to know for certain it's going to fit before purchasing the bumper.

Thanks!

Full disclosure, the badlands doesn’t fit the rago bumper perfectly. I’m sure this is going to sway your decision if your hell bent on using the badlands winch. It sits on a “tray” and bolts in but the tray angles are just ever so slightly small for the winch, so it took a good amount of kind of annoying (due to the weight and awkward angles you have to be at) to get it all to fit in, but with a bunch of finagling, you can get her seated and I’d say there’s maybe a quarters thickness between the front of the winch and the winch plate. Again, I’m sure this is a deal breaker for quite a few, maybe you included. But I’ve put that winch through hell on my Tacoma so I genuinely trust it, and for me, I’m comfortable with how it’s mounted. But just so you know, that bumper is designed specifically for whatever they say on the webpage, warn or whatever it might be. Maybe reach out to rago first and see very specifically what the specs are for that plate.

I spent over an hour removing ONE bolt when I replaced the starter on my 200 series, so I'm used to stubborn/awkard mechanical challenges and they don't frighten me. I may be cussing the whole time but I'm usually more stubborn than the bolt. :)

I had the same winch on that same series and, while I didn't use it too much, I never had any reason to doubt that it would work when I needed it. Also, I figure if Matt's Offroad Recovery uses them on a daily business it's good enough for me.

Thanks for confirming the Rago fit, regardless of how difficult it might be.

PS. I will be reaching out in the coming months to ask about your wiring solution for the winch.

Sounds good my friend, I will gladly walk you through it!
