Had a bad experience on I-95 in Connecticut. Doing 65mph in left lane in rain and dark when the truck suddenly shuttered and vibrated. Right rear tire (Dunlop) blew out. Do not think I hit anything. Control of the truck was very good, and I safely changed lanes and pulled off of the roadway.

Called Toyota roadside assistance and AAA was dispatched. Problem arose when the very helpful AAA driver and I couldn’t find the tool to lower the spare. My wife called the Toyota dealer in Milford CT and luckily s sales person went out to a vehicle and found it. It is not where you would expect it to be, but under a panel right behind the rear seats. Looking at the manual, neither I nor the AAA driver could figure out where it was.

Tire was changed and home safe.

Toyota dealer in Westport CT said Dunlop gave a good will credit of $130 and I paid $290.

I do wonder how good (or bad) these tires are? I have run Michelins for many years with no problems.

Glad you are safe.
Thanks for reporting your experience with us.

PS: I have MIchelins on mine, they came with my car. :)

Crazy. I have had run-flats for 10 years. Not looking forward to my first flat tire. :ROFLMAO:

Tire pressures were all at 32-33 psi, had no prior issues with inflation.

One of the first things I do with any new vehicle is open every compartment and locate all the tools and bits and bobs. I found the spare tire lowering tool and moved it to the compartment by the rear hatch

Got Michelins on mine. Glad it behaved well during the blowout.

So if my math is correct one Dunlop grandtrek is $420???? Or did I misinterpret your post?
That is what the dealer said, I suppose some kind of list price, but on my invoice it listed $355. Don’t know if they were playing some games?!
