Looking for feedback from anyone that’s tried the Radflo coilovers specifically the 500R Sport 2.0 front coilovers and rear shocks.

I’m interested in this set up because I’m looking to level the LC and add minimal to zero lift to the rear. Garage height limitations. I also don’t need reservoirs as my use isn’t anything taxing or extreme.

Interested in feedback on how it affects performance on and off-road compared to stock. As well as ease of height adjustment. Thanks!

No one? Guess I might have to guinea pig it
Radflo has both 2.0 and 2.5" non-reservoir IFP coilovers as pictured that I was looking into also. I like that Radflo builds to order, and is willing to customize. It seems the Dobinsons or Old Man Emu are more popular for LCs at the moment. I suspect Bilstein and Fox will also become common upgrades in the future, especially if they are sold at dealers as TRD parts.

I had the Radflo 500R Sport 2.0 front coilovers and rear shocks delivered and installed in early March. I requested that Thomas at Radflo set the front coilovers with Eibach 550# springs to a 2” lift height. They were
exactly at 2” with stock bumper. The rears with the Icon 2” spring actually was at 1” with probably 200 # of constant load. I added a 1” Cornfed spacer to achieve the 2” rear lift. I wanted a bit of rake. 4 Wheel Parts in Colorado Springs did an excellent job at installation with alignment. I’d say the ride is a bit stiffer than stock with greatly reduced body roll and nose dive while not as stiff as Bilsteins I ran on two previously owned 5th gen 4Runners. Good highway ride as well as off road on some rocky trails in Moab with aired down Wildpeaks. I recommend the Radflos if you're looking for a better daily drive and off road capability without altering the LC’s steering geometry. I also appreciate the adjustability if I decide to add a front bumper/winch.

Thanks for the feedback. Did you go 550 spring rate because you’re adding some weight in the front via bumpers/winch?

I don’t plan on adding any front weight so I’m thinking 500 spring rate. It’s a little tricky as I’m trying to add a little ground clearance while still trying to fit in my garage. Also trying to remove the rake/roll a little without making the ride too harsh. Complicated 🤣

I told Radflo I may possibly be adding the bumper later and wanted a bit firmer ride than stock. They recommended the 550# coil. Definitely not a harsh ride but that can be subjective.

Hello there!

A 500 lb spring rate sounds like a solid choice for your setup. It should give you the added clearance and flatter stance you're after without making the ride too harsh—especially since you're not adding any extra front-end weight.

If you ever decide to make changes down the road—like adding bumpers, a winch, or sliders—we can always revalve the shocks or adjust the spring rate to match. Just let us know if you have any questions!
