Anyone know what purpose these serve. Maybe a little road debris stop? Anyway, thinking of popping them off so it gives it a higher ground clearance appearance.

Don't you watch Nascar? Their front Spoilers are 1/2" off the ground for aerodynamics.
Yank it off, it'll only cost you 1/2 mpg
