After installing my larger tires and new wheels to gain a inch of precious ground clearance we have all been robbed of by our friends at Toyota I couldn't wait to get out on a trip to test the waters.
It started at Jumbo grade which sections of it are a decent off road trail rocky steep but shirt inclines and declines the LC did great. The trip was a bit jarring since I remembered everything but my valuable air compressor. So all my adventures where done on 36 PSI. One pro is that i lost no ground clearance the cons were bumpy jarring and not as comfortable as one would like..
After Jumbo grade I decided to head toward Bridgeport check out the travertine hot springs and found a menacing hill that was a good 40 percent gradewith loose silty gravel. Got nearly to the top and was rejected. because of the steepness I did get not pictures, did not want a moving picture of the LC sliding down the hill while I preformed the money shot. On the way down thru 395 I seen in the middle of the road what looked likea complete massacre. The entire two lane highway was painted with blood and fur for a good 800 ft. I thought damn maybe a pair of deer were struck. BUt as I got the end end of the blood smeared highway I looked right and spooted one big bear. Photo attached. He was a big boy as the photo demonstrates by the size of my boot next to his paw.
Over all the trip was a success

for I returned with no damage on the rig and and all tires still with air.
