275 70 18 E Load Tires

So for those of you that have swapped out the OEM tires for some AT’s or M/T’s what tire pressure you guys running? Seems like the load capacity for our OEM tires is 2555lbs at 33 psi so a 275 70 18 Load E tire would have to be at 42 psi to match that capacity.

Was just curious to see what others are running.

Same here. KO3 275/70 R18 E load with 42 psi (recommended by America Tires per this tire 10-ply sidewall)

I’ve got the 275 Ko3s. I’m at 34 for a smooth ride. 19 PSI off road.

I'm running 275/70R18 KO3's too. I'm at 40psi right now. When I did the math, I think going down to 35-38 would be OK. 40 is a bit bouncy. When they were put on they are about 35 and felt good, so I may air down.

I would go with the recomended tire pressure on the door frame: 33 ish. These tires are way stiffer than stock, so you don’t need 40 psi, in my opinion.

Falken Wildpeaks, the 275/70 18 fits nice, E rated.

I am running 36 as that is what the tire shop put them at. Toyo AT3 275/70/18 E rated. Feel great on bumps and driving.

Do they rub on the inside of the tire when articulated? I think this size of tire is when that may become an issue with the stock offset wheel.

I just went from 245 to 265 70 18 Falken WP4's SL I wanted to keep fuel mileage at stock and these tires are only 50 lbs ea. Im running them at 36 psi. The Falkens run bigger than others.

I had those put on mine and my recent Colorado trip saw me getting horrible highway MPG. Like, around 14 mpg.

I have also removed the small air dam thingies from the front and had an XL-size mountain bike mounted on a 1up tire carrier on the rear.

No. You might be thinking of 35-inch tires, and I'm not really sure those run, either. 275/70/18 are a little over 33-inch tires.

Right, I have 275/70r18 on 45 offset wheels. Not talking about the height, but more the width projecting inward too much due to the stock 65 offset. Might be something to check if you haven't.

With these tires, added roof rack and heavy duty steel skid plates and I am down to 18 mpg from 22 on the highway

those are the 707? what offset are those?

Really miss my E rated KO’s. Went with Toyo Open Country. Have already replaced two inside 20K miles with sidewall punctures. I do off road though. Never had a puncture with KO’s. They are stiff though.
