At full load the on board inverter will draw ?X amps. Not sure what or where the DC side voltage is coming from?
A decent kitchen micro wave is 1000 - 1200 watts.
So your kitchen in a box will draw 1200w / 120vac = 10 amps nominal. You wont use it that long to heat up those great home cooked items you were smart enough to bring. Cook a nice steak or some Thai peanut satay pork chops.
So no need for these idot, heavy, maxed out kitchens jamming up and wasting all that interior space.
This over landing sales effort is way over the top, how idiotic. How ridiculously idiotic.
The on board inverter and maybe a spare battery and even an additional inverter for 12vdc primary gives you tons of options. Induction burners, coffee maker, prepared foods you only have to heat up, all top shelf stuff. Whatever additional electronics you need on a trip. Now don't forget a fridge. Radio station, satellite tracking and coms, movie night, sky's the limit.

Don't forget the inflatable hot tub and portable sauna. Amazing what is possible with the 2400 watt inverter and a decent battery bank.😀

The start stop of the engine to support the inverter loads will age the engine unnecessarily.
The bulk of wear occurs at startup.
More inverter use, less engine life.
The rolling start stop function is also destructive.
This i going to be very interesting over time.
""the greatest amount of engine wear occurs during startup and the subsequent break-in period largely determines how an engine will run for the remainder of its life?""

The role of a hybrid gas engine is to frequently start/stop as needed both at rest and while moving. Hopefully this one has been designed and selected with that in mind. The Toyota history with hybrids has shown they have done an excellent job of that in the past so fingers crossed. 🤞

I am pretty confident that there are a few very smart and highly qualified engineers who thought through the possible wear and tear of a start stop engine in 2025.

Lol there are plenty of original prius running around with 300k+ miles i'm super worried that the engineers of Toyota 20 years later aren't smart enough to improve since then 🖕

Aside from what others have said, what you posted only accounts for wear derived from initial startup.

In a start/stop engine, once the engine has been initially started and taken to operating temperatures, during the subsequent stop/starts the engine oil is already warm and the engine itself has already been well-lubricated by having run a few seconds prior.

Agree. Start stop is still hard on the motor, the loading of the various bearing surfaces, ring to piston wall abrasion.
0-20 oil runs off very quickly. Film retention will be key obviously. Not stopping me from taking possession shortly of a way cool hobby vehicle. There are a number of TBD design issues that will prove out over time and mileage.

I really trust this fool. How embarrassed Toyota should be.

I recall reading that there are two oil pumps. One that is electrically driven that continues oil circulation when the engine is auto-stopped to keep things lubricated. Toyota has some very smart engineers.

No more quarters needed. :)

I used a 1440+ watt shop vac to clean up the inside of the LC powered by the plug in the back.

Very nice!
Running a shop vac from the 2400 watt outlet to clean mine and my wife's car was an absolute game changer for me. I love this feature. Don't put any stock in the pearl-clutchers who think they understand vehicle design better than Toyota does.

Sad to report that the on-board 120V outlet would not run my Metal Man FC130i flux core welder for more than a second or two. 😞

Have you tried using a battery bank like an Ecoflow, Bluetti, or Jackery in between the inverter and welder?

I'm not trying to be offensive, just curious if a 2k gas generator would run your welder?

I have not tried anything like that. Will one of those allow a load that approaches 20-amps?

Why would that be offensive, EOD Guy? It sounds like a perfectly legit question to me, mainly because I have a Honda EU2000i generator, and my first thought after the LC failed was wondering if the Honda would work.

For the job I had to get done earlier this week I didn't have time to run home to get the Honda. A 10/3 extension cord worked fine. I do have another outdoor project that I will get to in a week or two. I will try out the Honda as a power source and report back.

There are many folks on this site that get offended when the word offended is mentioned.......LOL
