2024 FE Key Fob keeps going dead

I have a 2024 FE. I keep having to change the key fob battery. I have two key fobs and have been alternating them. Battery in each one keeps going dead. WTH.

Where do you put your key fob while in the car? If you are putting it on top of the phone charging plate or near it, then that is what is causing your issue and not dead batteries...

Well, the batteries are dead as when I replace them everything works fine. However there have been a few times that I have put the key fob on top of the charger.

The battery may not be dead, just a remove and reinstall and it'll work like it should.

This! I just had my fob battery go "dead" yesterday. Turns out it's not dead. I removed the battery for a few minutes and then put it back in and it's totally fine. I do put the key right by the charger while driving but not anymore after finding that's the reason for the "dead" battery. It's odd but definitely true in my case.

Yeah, when I took delivery of my LC the sales guy told me never to put the fob near the phone charging plate for this exact reason.

Thankfully my 1958 doesn’t have a phone charging plate..

I did the lock and unlock twice trick to turn off the signal on my 2nd remote to hopefully save that battery. So far so good on my original fob since last July.
