1992 Land Cruiser has an electrical ignition problem

Hello
I’ve never joined a forum before
But I am having an electrical ignition problem with my Land Cruiser, it’s a 1992
Runs well but the motor kicks off unexpectedly I brought it to mechanics with no success The tachometer drops to zero.
And then kicks back on again
Sometimes it won’t start but eventually it does. Not sure if anyone has heard of this issue before I’m looking for a solution. If anyone out there has any idea what this might be I would appreciate whatever information you have for me.

You'd probably have better luck on the older Land Cruiser Forum. But in an effort to help......... you have a loose/broken/corroded wire problem.

1st I'd start by locating and cleaning ALL your ground connections, starting at the Neg battery cable, engine to frame ground etc......

2nd I'd look at the power supply wires to the distributor, starting at the ignition switch, through the fuse box, ballast resistor (if Toyota used one) to the coil and dizzy.
