Would it be possible at all to put the larger instrument cluster in a 1958?

I've seen discussion of retrofitting the infotainment screen, but I don't look at that often. I'm looking at the instrument cluster frequently and would love to have more information available.

Is the instrument screen larger or just a different software package?

Definitely a larger screen, with the smaller 1958 instrument cluster having an extra trim piece around it with basic LED oil temp and fuel gauges.

I'm sure the screens are expensive, so not something I plan on doing right now, but I wonder if the larger unit would just work or if the vehicle's software would need to be altered.

I am sure it is something down the road that may be feasible. I just want the stupid warning screen to go away when in 4LO.

Large automakers like Toyota usually make these types of “upgrades” to electronics difficult to do with their parts, because they are in the business of selling new cars with the latest technology, and supporting new car warranties. At some time in the future, an aftermarket company may have a product that can update the tech.
