1958 armrest upholstry?

I'd like to find matching Softex black pleather to cover my armrests on the 1958. Has anyone found an upholstery shop that sells the fabric with the white thread already sewn in it so it will match the top on the center console lid/armrest? Thinking t it wouldn't be too hard to cover it.

Katzkin will find you the closest installer that will do custom work like this. They just send extra leather and thread and the installer will wrap the armrest. Mine is even going to sneak some padding in mine.

Also in NoVA with a meteor 1958. I’m only looking to wrap the armrests. Where did you get this done and how did it work out? Feel free to PM

I’m also interested in this. Maybe someone will make a ready made solution eventually. Even just a stick on would work well, as long as it has an OEM look and feel. It would have to look clean. I’ve been looking. Lots of stuff for the center console for some reason, but nothing for the door that actually needs a cover!

I got a set of these stick-on pads after seeing a post on this site a while back. Not an exact match but much more comfortable than the hard plastic arm rest. It might be easier to replace the door cards with the LCLC version. I was going to do this to my dash as I like the look of the soft touch on it.

Yeah. That is the downside. I actually thought about 3d printing a TPU pad for the arm rest.

Here's a photo of the stick-on pad after 6 months. Might need to redo double sticky tape, but works fine otherwise. Much more comfortable than that hard plastic arm rest.

Ordered this off of Ebay...made in china. Surprisingly this works really well and perfect arm rest for driving. I don't think its beneficial for passenger but that is up to preference. It would be easy as well to upholster it much nicer as you can could take it apart easily if you wanted it totally covered with leather or vinyl. It matches decent for the cheap price. Took a while however to get as it comes from China if you want the cheaper priced one. They I think are all the same. This is on my 1958.
